Mystery Quilt

The most important thing to remember when selecting fabrics for a mystery quilt is CONTRAST!!  The fabrics should have good contrast amoung them in order for the pattern to emerge.  Use color and/or value to achieve this contrast.  AVOID DIRECTIONAL FABRICS UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO IGNORE THEIR PRINTS.  The quilt may be easily enlarged, just be sure to have enough fabric.  Double the amounts will yeild a full or queen size quilt.  Don't double the border yardage.  Only 2 7/8 yards of border fabric is required for the larger quilt.
